What is a Holding Company?
A Holding Company is a completely separate real estate company licensed with the State of Illinois. It is designed to allow real estate agents to put their license into a "holding" status so they can keep their license active.
What are the advantages of a Holding Company?
When you put your license into a Holding Company, you no longer have to pay dues. You are exempt from paying Association dues and MLS dues. You can keep your real estate license active without having to face daunting bills. As long as you have a real estate license, you can continue to use it as a positive source of income.
What are the disadvantages of a Holding Company?
By putting your license into a Holding Company you can no longer actively list and sell real estate. Any leads generated will be given to an active agent as a referral. You also must continue to do Continuing Education, which can easily be completed at the Training Center at Bob Floss & Son Realty.
Why switch to a Holding Company?
Do you remember how long and hard you worked to get your real estate license? Why would you let it go? By putting your license into a Holding Company you can still generate income by sending leads into the company and collecting referral checks.
